The Olive Ridley Project, in partnership with Laamu Maavah Council, is recruiting a Sea Turtle Conservation Officer to monitor and protect sea turtles on the island of L. Maavah. The role involves conducting physical and drone surveys to detect and report illegal take, rescuing stranded turtles, and collecting nesting and poaching data. The officer will also lead local education and outreach activities, including developing culturally relevant materials for schools and community organisations. Applicants must be residents of L. Maavah with fluency in Dhivehi and English. The position offers a 4-month contract with the possibility of extension, starting 1 May 2026.
